Proper Care for Pet Food Dishes

Safety should always be the number one concern of any pet owner, and this includes making sure everything a pet consumes is healthy and safe. For that reason, many owners spend a lot of time and energy picking out just the right pet food to match the age, type, and taste of their pets. But some people overlook the fact that the dishes themselves need to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly. After all, you wouldn’t eat off a dirty plate yourself, so why should your dog?

With that in mind, remember to wash your dog dish after every use. Remaining food can breed harmful bacteria that can only be killed with hot water and soap. Make sure to thoroughly rinse the dish after washing, however, as leftover soap residue will make your pet averse to eating. Of course, use a gentle, nontoxic soap. And don’t neglect the water dish either. Make sure the water is refilled every day and the dish itself is washed at least weekly.

I bought these dishes and absolutely love them! The shipping was fast and my order processing was fast and easy! I myself reuse the disposable liners and wash them in my dishwasher. While they are going through the cycle, I still have another liner to use in it’s place! Washing the liners in the dishwasher sterilizes the liners and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
