dog bed

Dogs, like humans, often get stressed and need a place to lay their head.  Finding a dog bed that suit your little friend is an important task, as cats and dogs have a lot of similar sleeping habits and levels of comfort.  The best thing to do is to observe your pet for a few nights and see where they spend the most time to relax.  From there, you should be able to figure out what kind of bed would be a great fit.

Once you have a fully relaxed pet, you’ll no doubt have a much happier friend.

Any recommendations for getting them to adjust to a new bed?

    Thanks!

It can be very difficult to train your dog to use a new bed especially if they are already used to sleeping on your bed (but it isn’t impossible).! Make note of where your dog usually spends most of his sleeping hours-hopefully it will be on the floor somewhere. Try putting his new bed in that spot along with his favorite toys. If you have an old blanket or something else he likes sleeping on, put that on or near his new bed so he’ll know the new bed is for him. Also, make sure his new bed is the right size for him to curl up on or to really stretch out on! Hope this helps! Anyone else have any good ideas?

I finally got my dog Fritz to stop sleeping on my bed! Thanks BettyAnn for the useful information. I bought a bed just like the one pictured above by DogsBestFriend and Fritz LOVES IT! It was so affordable and now my Fritz has his own bed to sleep on. It came with a matching pillow which really made it nice because Fritz either plays with it or sleeps with it like a human!
