Protect Teeth & Gums

Guess what – dogs like toys! Yeah, I guess if you own a dog you probably already knew this. But did you know that most dogs prefer a plush dog toy to a hard dog toy? Plush dog toys come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are even animals like squirrels and cats.

Soft toys are also easier on dogs’ teeth. Hard toys such as bones and sticks can break the teeth and make the gums bleed and costs owners money spent at the vet. Avoid these problems by buying your dog plush toys.

I agree, my dogs (all four of them) love plush toys. Pet owners always say “well, my dogs always chew them up” but that’s because dogs need supervision when playing with toys, believe it or not. If you see that they are getting too aggressive with their plush toys, you should take them away from them for a time until they understand that destroying their toys is unacceptable. My German Shephard was like that, always chewing up her toys, until, I taught her that destroying them was not nice. Now she just plays nicely with them and just enjoys them. It takes a little training, but it’s worth it.
