fluffy.jpgDid you know that using “people” shampoo on your dog or cat can be very bad for them?  People shampoo is mainly designed to remove oil residue which makes it very drying and irritating to dogs and cats.  Shampoo for people is generally cheaper but in the long run, if you use it on your pets, you risk having to take them to the vet for the harmfull side effects it has on your dog or cat.  There are so many shampoos and conditioners and grooming sprays made just for your cat or dog, there’s no reason to try using people hair products on your pet.  Your pet will love it and you will love the different scents that are available such as wild cherry, berry, and much more.  so next time you are looking for shampoos and conditioners for your pet, make sure they are safe for them and made only for them

Protect Teeth & Gums

Guess what – dogs like toys! Yeah, I guess if you own a dog you probably already knew this. But did you know that most dogs prefer a plush dog toy to a hard dog toy? Plush dog toys come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are even animals like squirrels and cats.

Soft toys are also easier on dogs’ teeth. Hard toys such as bones and sticks can break the teeth and make the gums bleed and costs owners money spent at the vet. Avoid these problems by buying your dog plush toys.

Dog Harnesses

I recently adopted a puppy from my local Humane Society after  careful thought and planning.  I looked at so many cute and adorable puppies and dogs that needed a home, it was almost impossible to walk out with all of them, but I finally settled on a sweet little mixed breed puppy.  Once I got her home, I knew I just wanted to show her off to the world, but I wanted to do it in style!  I had a collar that I thought would be perfect, but after taking her for her first walk, I knew it just wouldn’t do because she was so eager to explore that she kept pulling so hard on the leash, she kept slipping out of the collar.  A friend of mine suggested getting a harness to take her for walks and she was so right!  The harness makes it so much easier on both of us and when she pulls, the harness doesn’t choke her like a collar does.  I didn’t realize there were so many different styles, colors, and sizes of harnesses out there!  I found the perfect soft comfortable harness and it’s so cute, too!  You can get regular adjustable harnesses, or you can go all out and get a harness that is a fashionable dress, too!  Go where I did to get my wonderful harness for my new friend–just go to First Rate Pets and check out all of their affordable high quality harnesses!  You won’t be sorry!
