Monkey Joe doesn’t really like to get brushed. Sometimes if you brush the fur near the base of his tail he will turn his sweet little face toward you and bite your hand. Monkey Joe is not a bad cat; in fact millions of other cats in America share his disdain for grooming. This isn’t cats’ problem, it’s a human problem.

We need to pay more attention to how we are grooming our cats. First of all, don’t be aggressive. How would you like it if someone took a wire brush vigorously to your hide? Be gentle and make sure you have the best quality cat grooming supplies. After all, Monkey Joe is an angel, and with a bit of grooming your cat could be almost as sweet.

I have two shih tzu’s and I admit, I had put off taking them to the groomer because it’s been so cold, I didn’t want their hair short.  But, I learned a lesson when I did take them to a groomer and an expensive lesson, too!  Because I hadn’t taken the time to at least comb their hair, they had developed matts in their hair which cost me extra at the groomer’s for her to remove them.  I also found out from the groomer that matts are ideal for fleas to migrate to which causes your pet unnecessary licking and biting which in turn causes more matts!  What a vicious cycle.  She recommended daily or at least weekly combings with a high grade metal comb or rake.  I took her advice and found that it really does make a big difference giving my dogs a weekly combing with dematting combs  and I take care of it while we are  just sitting watching tv when we are all relaxed! 

Cats and kittens absolutely love toys they can bat around, hold in their front paws and give them the old back claw attack, and toys that make noise.  It’s just an inborn instinct they have and every cat owner loves watching their little mischief maker have fun playing and running around with toys they bought just for them.  I found a toy that’s perfect for cats that has feathers (which cats also love) but it’s on a springy pole attached to a platform with fun cotton fur.  This way, I don’t have to keep trying to get my cat’s toys out from under the couch or worse, from under the refrigerator!  If you have a cat or kitten, there are so many high quality cat toys made especially for cats so they can burn off that extra energy they always seem to have and to peak their interest in fun and healthy play!

Yo Yo power to the dog lovers up in this blog!  Ya’ll know your boy Franky Fresh; no introductions, no imitations, the genuine article is here!  Now let me tell ya’ll about some stuff, the other day Shakur got into a fight with these bad dogs from the wrong side of the hood, and lost his dog collar charms.  Now that’s a rough side of town ya’ll, and I wasn’t about to be going back there to tussle with them hoodrats.  But Shakur wanted those dog collar charms back, said he got one of them from Nelly himself.  I was like “damn Shakur, you wearing dog collar charms you got from Nelly in that part of town?” 

So we went back to that neighborhood in the daylight, cause no way I’d be going back at night.  Turns out those hoodrats were all kinds of scurred, they must have ran away when Shakur started busting them up.  The dog collar charms were right in the same spot Shakur thought he dropped them.  We got home safe ya’ll, and I was like “Shakur, don’t you be wearing that stuff outside of the clubs now!”

Turn up the heat and get ready to put out the fire cause Franky Fresh in the house!  Number one stunner, fresh to death, canine aficionado, you know how I roll!  Now I’m here to lay down the word about a fly dog named Shakur.  Now the busters out there might be hating, but me and Shakur know that dog clothing is some serious stuff ya’ll.

Now let me tell ya’ll about a time when Shakur’s dog t shirt got us backstage at Snoop Dogg’s concert.  Now Shakur might be named after that original gangsta who now resides up there in Thug’s Mansion, but he’s got love for the Dee Oh Double G.  Me and Shakur was hustling outside the Snoop Dogg concert, trying to buy some tickets, when none other than the Doggfather himself rolls up in a tricked out Escalade with a chromed out nose.  Now that night, Shakur was keeping it fresh in his Snoop Dogg dog t shirt, and when Snoop himself stepped out of that Cadillac, he was like “Damn nephew, that dog t shirt is fresher than 213, follow me”.  We followed Snoop backstage and got to see the whole concert and hang out with the Dogg pound afterwards!  All thanks to Shakur’s dog t shirt.
