My German Shephard sheds so much all year long and I finally got tired of picking up hair off the floor, the couch, and everywhere else. My vet told me that if I start a daily combing and brushing routine that it would cut down on the hair all over the house, so I decided to try it. I must say, I was shocked at how much loose hair my dog had when I first starting brushing and combing her! I bet there was enough hair there to make another dog! Finally, after a few days, I noticed a lot less loose hair on her and a big difference in the hair around the house! Daily combing and brushing is a big must for all dogs who shed even a little! If you have a problem with pet hair like I did, why not try daily grooming? First Rate Pets has all you need to get started and you and your pet will be so glad you decided to try it out.

When I was growing up, we always had pets and now that I'm a parent, my kids have pets, too. We always make sure that our pets are included in the holiday spirit and they have their own stockings hanging right up with all of the rest of ours. i just think it makes since that since our pets are such an important part of our lives, that we should include them in everything. We even get little toys or treats as stocking stuffers for our cats and dogs at www.firstratepets.com where you can find lots of affordable unique pet supplies.

I, too, bought a first aid kit made especially for dogs because my husband takes our dog out hunting and I'm always worried our dog is going to get hurt somehow. Since the pet first aid kit is portable, it makes it easy for my husband to take with him on hunting trips and it's always handy just in case. So far, we haven't had to use it, but you never know and it will be there if we do need it.

I bought this toy for our new kitten and she absolutely loves it! She can't even walk by it without giving it a little swat and when it makes that fun liitle chirp noise, she's hooked again and stays and plays with it for a long time! I'm so glad I bought this toy for her because she is so happy with it.

When I adopted Luther, a 2 year old German Shepard, I learned he suffered from Lyme Disease. He had been left untreated for quite some time therefore the disease has done permanent joint damage. As a result, Luther requires a daily dose of Glucosamine and Chondroitin, as would a senior dog, for the remainder of his life. After extensive research, I found that Arthogen met the Veterinarian's specifacations at a much lower cost than the leading comparable canine joint supplements. Luther has been on Arthogen for 2 months now and acts like a puppy. I am so impressed I recommend Arthogen to all my pet friends and I tell them they need to go to First Rate Pets to get everything they need for their pets. Their prices are so much lower than other places and if you every have any questions, they are always there to help you out.

I personally use the Shed No More formula. My dogs coat looked like it had been through a major battle. Rough and dull, replaced ultra soft and shiny. I went to my veterinarian, who happens to also be my son, and screamed "HELP" He gave me a bottle of Shed No More and told me to try it. I was really skeptical that it would help. After the first bottle was finished my dog's coat looks like it did in this 2003 photo. I a now a believer and I have used it ever since. Also, I want to add that I was paying a lot for this formula from one of those big name pet stores, but I have enjoyed big savings now that I have found www.firstratepets.com

Everyone in my family always goes all out for the holidays. We don't spend a lot of money, because you don't have to to make the holidays great! Most everyone in my family has some kind of pet (some have more than one) and I always make sure that I include my friends and relatives' pets on my Santa list! They always appreciate a nice inexpensive stocking full of toys or treats and chews and I know their pets do to! The toys last all through the season and longer and the rawhides do to, although the treats don't fair as well becasue they're so good!

I agree with Betty Ann. I can personally attest to the importance of having a first aid kit close at hand that has all of the essentials that might be needed for pets. My cat somehow got out of the house one day and was gone for hours. I was so worried about him and when he finally did return, it was apparent he had gotten into a fight with the neighborhood bully cat. He had a big gash in his tail where the other cat had gotten a hold of him. I was so thankful I had that first aid kit! I was able to clean and bandage up his wound to control the bleeding until I could get him to the vet's office which is about 20 minutes from our house. The vet commended me on being smart enough to have that first aid kit on hand and it probably helped my cat heal faster because he received medical attention from me right away.

I agree, my dogs (all four of them) love plush toys. Pet owners always say "well, my dogs always chew them up" but that's because dogs need supervision when playing with toys, believe it or not. If you see that they are getting too aggressive with their plush toys, you should take them away from them for a time until they understand that destroying their toys is unacceptable. My German Shephard was like that, always chewing up her toys, until, I taught her that destroying them was not nice. Now she just plays nicely with them and just enjoys them. It takes a little training, but it's worth it.
